Korea Blockchain Week 2025 (KBW2025) has officially revealed its first wave of speakers, drawing attention from across the global Web3 community. The main conference, IMPACT, will take place on September 23–24 at the Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul, with top figures from both regulatory bodies and the blockchain industry set to participate.
Among the headline speakers is Arthur Hayes, former CEO of BitMEX and now CIO of Maelstrom, who is expected to discuss the future of blockchain governance and its intersection with traditional financial systems. He will be joined by Ben Zhou (CEO of Bybit), Mike Belshe (CEO of BitGo), Yat Siu (Chairman of Animoca Brands), and Luca Netz (CEO of Pudgy Penguins), each of whom is leading innovation in their respective sectors.
In a significant development, several regulatory officials will also take the stage, signaling a shift toward deeper dialogue between government and industry. These include Bo Hines, Executive Director of the White House Digital Assets Working Group, and Caroline Pham, Acting Commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Their attendance is viewed as a key moment for international regulatory cooperation on digital assets.
More than just a tech expo, KBW2025 is positioning itself as a multi-dimensional platform where policy, technology, and capital converge. Dozens of side events will be held across Seoul throughout the week, including hackathons, NFT exhibitions, startup pitch sessions, and workshops. A special segment titled “AI WORLD” will explore the convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain.
“This year’s event will go beyond show-and-tell,” said an official from the KBW organizing committee. “It will serve as a real dialogue platform bridging the Web3 industry and global institutions. A second round of speaker announcements, including major global firms and venture capital partners, is expected in July.”
