The Korea Blockchain Business Cooperative announced that it held a general meeting on March 15 and elected CoinHubKorea CEO JB Lee as chairman of the board.

“Globally, the blockchain industry is actively utilizing core values such as decentralization, transparency, and security to lead innovation in various fields,” said Lee in his inaugural speech. “In line with this global trend, I will strive to lead the Korean Blockchain Business Cooperative, the only statutory organization in Korea, to lead world-class innovation and development in order to increase the competitiveness of the Korean blockchain industry and enhance the advantages of our members in the global market.”

“As the domestic blockchain industry is at a critical crossroads, we will do our best to recall the original purpose of the Korea Blockchain Business Cooperative and return to our basic to bring about achievements in various areas, including the expansion of member companies, proposals for blockchain industry legislation and policies, cooperative projects with national organizations such as the government and local governments, and joint business promotion in areas such as finance, public, manufacturing, and services,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Korea Blockchain Business Cooperative is the only statutory blockchain-related cooperative in Korea that has been authorized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and is continuously recruiting new members.
