Eric Trump to Speak at Upbit Conference in Seoul, Highlights Bitcoin’s Future and Asia Market Push

Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and the second son of U.S. President Donald Trump, will attend Upbit Developer Conference 2025 (UDC 2025) as a speaker on September 9 at the InterContinental Seoul COEX in Gangnam. This marks his first direct appearance at a blockchain conference in Korea, drawing strong attention from the industry.

Trump will join Sunjoo Yoon, CBIO of Dunamu, in a special fireside chat under the theme “Finance, Business, and Digital Assets: Trends and Future Outlook.” With digital assets increasingly entering the institutional fold and global investment environments shifting rapidly, his remarks are expected to provide important insights for Korean investors and industry participants. Patrick McHenry, former Chairman of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee and a key figure behind the passage of the FIT 21 digital asset regulatory framework, will also deliver a keynote speech on the roadmap for digital assets’ integration into the mainstream.

His participation reflects a broader pattern of strengthening digital asset engagements across Asia. At the end of August, Trump appeared at Bitcoin Asia 2025 in Hong Kong, predicting that Bitcoin could eventually rise to $1 million and describing China as “a hell of a power” in the cryptocurrency space. On September 1, he attended the shareholders’ meeting of Metaplanet in Tokyo, where he backed a capital-raising plan of about $88.4 million to further expand the company’s Bitcoin holdings.

These consecutive appearances in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Seoul highlight his view of Asia as a central stage for global digital asset strategy. Korea, in particular, is seen as a key market where investor participation is broadening and regulatory discussions are accelerating, making Eric Trump’s first domestic appearance a significant bridge between global trends and the local industry.

UDC 2025 will once again serve as a major annual blockchain gathering, with leading global firms such as Tether and Ripple as well as policymakers from various countries joining to share perspectives on the future of the industry.
