EastPoint: Seoul 2025 – Korea’s Web3 Turning Point Reveals First Lineup of Speakers and Institutions

EastPoint: Seoul 2025, a high-level global Web3 conference shaping the future of Korea’s digital asset industry, will take place on September 22 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. Co-hosted by Hashed, Bloomingbit, and The Korea Economic Daily, the event released its first wave of speakers and participating organizations on July 10.

Unlike typical blockchain events, EastPoint is structured as an invitation-only private conference focused on closed-door roundtables, rather than public-stage keynotes. All attendees are required to participate in at least one roundtable session, where practical policy directions and collaboration models will be discussed in small, focused groups.

Notable confirmed speakers include:

  • Ashok Venkateswaran, Head of Digital Assets & Blockchain, Asia-Pacific at Mastercard

  • Alan Du, Partner at PayPal Ventures

  • Yat Siu, Co-founder of Animoca Brands

  • Bryan Pellegrino, CEO of LayerZero

  • Rebecca Sin, Head of APAC Funds Research at Bloomberg Intelligence

On the policy side, Korean lawmakers across party lines—Min Byung-deok, Kim Jae-seop, and Lee Jun-seok—will join discussions on regulation, including Korean won-based stablecoins and the proposed Digital Asset Basic Act.

Institutions involved span the entire finance and tech spectrum:
Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, and Woori Banks; securities firms like NH, Shinyoung, DB, and Hanwha Asset Management; venture arms of Kakao, Lotte, and KB; and top crypto exchanges including Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, and Binance.
Global institutions such as Temasek, SMBC Nikko Securities, LINE NEXT, LG CNS, and Google Cloud are also on the list.

Hashed CEO Simon Kim stated, “As policy, industry, and finance can no longer operate in silos, this event was designed as a platform for practical cooperation.”
Bloomingbit CEO Sanha Kim added, “EastPoint will mark a turning point for Korea to emerge as a global hub in digital finance.”

Further speaker announcements and the full program will be revealed in the coming weeks.
