Crypto.com Partners with KSNET to Launch Crypto Payment Services for Foreign Tourists in Korea

Crypto.com, a global cryptocurrency platform trusted by over 140 million users worldwide, has announced a strategic partnership with KSNET, South Korea’s largest integrated payment service provider. The collaboration aims to expand the use of cryptocurrency in everyday transactions, particularly among foreign tourists visiting Korea.

Through this partnership, foreign travelers will be able to use Crypto.com Pay to directly purchase goods and services at major Korean fashion, beauty, and duty-free stores using cryptocurrencies such as USDT and USDC. The payment is facilitated through QR code scanning at KSNET-affiliated merchants, offering a seamless and convenient user experience.

In addition, starting in Q4 2025, Crypto.com Visa cardholders—limited to foreign nationals—will be able to pay for public transportation in Jeju Island, with expansion to other regions under consideration. The card can be used in both physical and digital form and is preloaded with stablecoins that are automatically converted into local currency at the time of payment, eliminating the need for separate currency exchange processes.

KSNET, one of Korea’s top four value-added network (VAN) operators, currently processes over 130 million transactions per month across more than 300,000 merchants, with monthly transaction volume reaching KRW 7.2 trillion. By integrating Crypto.com Pay, KSNET offers its clients and merchants a faster, cheaper, and more efficient payment solution. Merchants can also accept cryptocurrency payments from Crypto.com users without incurring transaction fees.

“This partnership brings us a step closer to our vision of putting cryptocurrency in every wallet,” said Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com. “By working with the top merchant payment provider in Korea, we are making crypto more accessible in daily life.”

KSNET CEO Han-Kook Park stated, “KSNET continuously innovates to meet the changing needs of merchants and consumers. This collaboration with Crypto.com will strengthen our presence in the domestic payments industry and expand options for foreign visitors.”

The partnership signals a major step toward real-world crypto adoption in Korea, especially in sectors like tourism, retail, and transportation, where demand for flexible payment options is growing.
