Bithumb Signs Official Sponsorship Deal with FC Seoul and Launches ‘Thumbs Up’ 3rd Generation University Supporters Program

South Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, Bithumb, has signed an official sponsorship agreement with K League 1 club FC Seoul. Under this partnership, FC Seoul players will wear jerseys featuring the ‘Bithumb’ logo starting from their home match against Gimcheon Sangmu on March 3. Bithumb will also engage in various promotional activities at the stadium, offering exclusive benefits to its users, including match invitations, player escort programs, and stadium tours.

This collaboration is part of Bithumb’s broader strategy to enhance brand credibility by bridging the gap between cryptocurrency and sports fans. The company aims to create new engagement opportunities through sports marketing and expand its user base.

Additionally, Bithumb has launched the recruitment for the 3rd generation of its university supporters program, ‘Thumbs Up.’ The program, open to university students in Korea, will accept applications from February 28 to March 14. A total of 20 selected supporters will participate in a four-month program from April to August, engaging in brand promotion, corporate social responsibility activities, and proposing service improvement ideas.

Participants will receive a monthly stipend of KRW 300,000, with outstanding performers eligible for prizes totaling KRW 13 million, as well as internship and ambassador opportunities. Through this initiative, Bithumb seeks to strengthen its connection with the MZ generation and promote a better understanding of the cryptocurrency market.

By combining sports sponsorship with a youth engagement program, Bithumb’s latest initiatives are expected to reinforce brand recognition, increase trust in the crypto industry, and attract new users to its platform.
