South Korea’s leading digital asset exchange, Upbit, has partnered with Samsung Electronics to launch a limited-edition smartphone designed specifically for cryptocurrency users: the Galaxy S25 Edge Upbit Exclusive. Unlike standard retail models, this device will be available only as part of promotional events for Upbit members, highlighting its rarity and symbolic value.
Built on the base of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S25 Edge, the exclusive edition features a pre-installed Upbit app and a user interface optimized for fast, intuitive crypto trading. Enhanced security is provided through Samsung’s Knox platform, ensuring safe asset management for users engaging in digital finance.
Visually, the device introduces a unique “Edge Nomad” theme, packaged with travel-inspired accessories such as a branded briefcase, custom smartphone case, and luggage tags. It also boasts remarkable portability, with a 5.8mm thickness and weighing just 163 grams, making it one of the thinnest and lightest flagship smartphones currently available.
The distribution strategy is tightly controlled. More than 1,000 units are expected to be offered exclusively through Upbit’s promotional channels, including popup events, new member giveaways, and pre-registration campaigns in partnership with telecom providers. The device will not be available for general sale.
This collaboration represents more than a marketing stunt—it signals a broader move to integrate digital assets into daily mobile experiences. An Upbit representative stated, “This is part of our vision to embed crypto into everyday life. We’ll continue exploring new ways to enhance user experience.”
